Cary Country Club History

Founded in 1923, Cary Country Club began as a semi-private golf and social club for the city of est railroad line by the clubs founders. Cary Country Club began as a 5-hole golf course where Chicago’s residents could relax on the weekends. As years passed the  Cary Country Club expanded to a 9-hole and eventually into the 18-hole golf course we see today. In spite of our quite-out of the way location along the Fox-River, Cary Country Club has expanded and grown, thanks in part, to the thriving community as well as the lure of this very challenging piece of realestate. The lush beauty of the Fox River Valley during every season, is the splendid colors and shade comfort drawing people to return again and again.   Some call it a”Slice of Galena in our own backyard.”

…Today, Cary Country Club is a  beautiful 90-plus year old golf course.  The course is thriving, groomed over the years they matured into a true thing of beauty with hundreds of majestic oaks and beautiful welcoming fairways.  Cary Country Club offers golfers an array of shots and beautiful backdrops. With the addition of an expanded clubhouse and restaurant, Cary Country Club offers golfers and food fanatics  the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a member or visitor to a prestigious club as well as a chance to experience a piece of Chicago land golf history.
